Scope of application
This policy shall be applicable to the following people:
– People who use the XATIVA TURISMO GUIA OFICIAL application on their mobile devices.
WHEN DOES THE APP USE THE DEVICE’S LOCATION PERMISSIONS?
WHEN USING THE APPLICATION WE USE THE LOCATION OF THE DEVICE TO GEOPOSITION THE USER IN RELATION TO THE POINTS OF INTEREST WE RECOMMEND
TO VISIT. THIS FUNCTIONALITY ALLOWS THE USER TO BE INFORMED OF THE RELATIVE DISTANCE THEY ARE LOCATED. IT ALSO ALLOWS THE USER TO KNOW THE RELATIVE DISTANCE (FROM CLOSEST TO FURTHEST) OF ALL THE PLACES OF INTEREST THAT ARE LOCATED IN THE TOURIST DESTINATION.
Background use of location
In order to improve the experience of the visit, the APP uses GPS technology to facilitate orientation on the route through the streets of the city with a system of notifications by proximity to
points of interest (POI). This functionality can be activated when the application is off and works in the background. It can be deactivated from the bottom menu “Settings” by deactivating the option “Proximity notifications”. This functionality allows users walking around the city to know that they are close to a point of interest to visit without the obligation to search for the content in the application.
Background use of notifications
These notifications will appear on users’ terminals on special occasions, to communicate information of interest such as: opening of festivals, exhibitions, etc. They will be displayed in text
format on the mobile device and will contain a link to a website view within the application itself.
Purposes of processing and legal basis
The application only collects location data anonymously for its use. Under no circumstances will this data be incorporated into any file with the intention of processing the data or incorporating it into any database for the purpose of commercial communications.
