Situat en l&#8217;estreta vall que recorre el riu Albaida, les seues 57 hect\u00e0rees ens revelen un espai d&#8217;alt valor ecol\u00f2gic i patrimonial. En la primera, si ens acostem al riu Albaida, destaquen les comunitats vegetals flotants i boscos de ribera, amb exemplars ben desenvolupats de xops i d&#8217;oms. La cova rep el nom pel color fosc de les parets. En l&#8217;interior s&#8217;han trobat restes humanes i pintures; ens trobem en un espai d&#8217;import\u00e0ncia fonamental per comprendre la cultura del mosteri\u00e0 i la realitat dels neandertals. Catalogat com a BIC a comen\u00e7ament de segle, acompanya durant deu quil\u00f2metres el riu Albaida. T\u00e9 el seu encant anar trobant els<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> respiralls<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, elements verticals circulars mitjan\u00e7ant els quals el canal connecta amb l&#8217;exterior en els trams subterranis. Conta la llegenda local que van n\u00e0ixer gr\u00e0cies a l&#8217;enginy de la filla del rei musulm\u00e0 de X\u00e0tiva, el que va permetre el pas de l&#8217;aigua durant tot el recorregut. Els nombrosos senders i camins del paisatge el converteixen en immillorable per gaudir del senderisme i del BTT.
